Reviewer's view of the efficacy data
EMA: efficacy shown in rat and mouse EAE models, correlating with lymphocyte reduction; with fingolimod precedent, proof of concept sufficient
“Efficacy has been demonstrated in both rat and mouse models of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis which mostly correlated with the expected pharmacodynamic effect of reducing peripheral lymphocyte counts. Taken with the known clinical efficacy of the first-in-class S1P modulator, fingolimod, sufficient proof of concept has been shown.”
